- Set up a new patient portal enabled service
- Navigate to Services Tab
- Click Add Service drop-down
- Click Patient Portal Service from the drop-down
- Fill in the Service Name (visible to Provider & Admin)
- Fill in the Display Name (visible to patients in the portal)
- Fill in the Description (shown to patients in the portal)
- Select Patient on demand or Scheduled by clinical team
- Navigate to Regions for additional configurations
- Click Add Region to create a new region
- Select the Name of the Region
- Select the States to enable for that region
- Click "Manage" to update Operating hours for the service
- Keep "Always open" checked if the service will be available 24x7. Uncheck "Always open" if you want to define operating hours for the service
- Select the time zone for the service
- Select all the days of the week
- Select the start time & close time for the selected days of the week
- Click "Add hours" to select operating hours for other days of the weeks
- Once you finish updating the operating hours for all the days of the week, you may save it and close the pop-up
- Click "Manage" under Visit Methods to define the type of communication that will be allowed between patient & provider for that service
- Select "Video" if you want to allow patient to have video call for the visit with the Provider
- Select 'Message if you want to allow patients to have asynchronous messaging visit with the Provider
- Select the SLA for the messaging visit. This SLA will be shown to the patient whenever they send a message to the provider
- Go to Scheduling tab to define the visit interval & allowed Simultaneous visits per interval
- Define the visit window for the visits
- Navigate to Forms to configure forms for the service
- Configure Pre-exam type form if the service is enabled for Video visits. Configure Pre-exam Message type form if the service is enabled for Message visits.
- Select the forms available for the practice. If you do not see the form you expect, please contact Teladoc admin to add new forms to the list
- Navigate to "Clinical" to configure other clinical fields for the visits
- Update the Reasons for a Visit section that the Scheduler can select when they schedule the visit for the patient
- Ability to assign Provider and watcher to visits
- Configure EHR mapping
- Configure Smart Notes
- Click "Notifications" to configure notifications for the service
- Select the type of notifications that you would want to enable for the Service
