This article explains how practice administrators can upload and manage custom virtual backgrounds that providers can use during video consultations and device connections.
Why Use Custom Backgrounds
Custom virtual backgrounds help providers maintain a professional and consistent appearance during video calls, regardless of their physical environment.
Who Can Use This Feature
- Practice Administrators: Can upload and manage background images for the practice.
- Providers: Can select from the uploaded images during consultations (see separate article for provider instructions).
Pre-Requisites:
Before uploading custom backgrounds, ensure:
- The Improved Video Call Experience is enabled for your practice.
- You have uploaded the background images (up to 5 images are supported).
Instructions
- Open Video Call Settings from the administrator dashboard.
- Click Add New to upload background images (maximum of 5).
- Once uploaded, the images will appear in the list of available backgrounds.
- Click the Edit icon next to an image to configure its availability.
- Choose the appropriate settings for your practice and click Save.
- The selected background images will now be available for providers to use during consults within their practice.
