Copying a Smart Note as Plain Text for Providers | Smart Note

This article explains how providers can copy a signed Smart Note into plain text format for use outside the Solo platform.

Who Can Use This Feature

  • Providers: Once enabled by an administrator, providers can copy signed Smart Notes as plain text.

Pre-requisites:

Before using this feature, ensure the following:

  • Smart Notes is enabled.

  • Copy Note into Plain Text is enabled at the practice level (by an administrator).

  • The Smart Note is signed.

Instructions

  1. Open a signed Smart Note, click the 'More' button (typically represented by three dots or a dropdown).
  2. Select Copy as Plain Text from the menu.
  3. A confirmation message will appear:
    “Smart Note copied as plain text. Ctrl+V to paste.”
  4. Press Ctrl+V (or Cmd+V on Mac) to paste the note into your EMR
