This article explains how providers can use the Split View feature to view two remote camera feeds during a video consultation.
What Is Split View
Split View allows providers to simultaneously view two video streams—ideal for consultations involving multiple camera angles or devices.
Who Can Use This Feature
- Providers: Split View is available by default when two video-enabled devices are connected.
Pre-Requisites:
- Two video-enabled devices must be available and connected.
- The Improved Video Call Experience must be enabled for your practice.
Instructions
Launching Dual View
- On the opening screen, click Start Video.
- Your main device camera will activate.
- Click Remote to open the bottom-left panel.
- Right panel will open
- Select a Video 2 Camera option from the drop down menu to see the second device camera
- The second video feed will automatically appear in the main viewing area.
Adjusting the Split View

On the right panel, you have various options for the devices from the drop-down menu:

Fit to Frame: Adjusts the video to fit within the frame.

Move Position: Changes the layout of the video.

Move to Picture-in-Picture: Displays the second video as a thumbnail.

None Selected: Removes the second video stream and returns to a single camera view.

Switching to Focused View (Two Videos to One Video)

With two videos active, click View on the top right, then choose Focused from the drop down to put the left most video into a single view.

This puts the left-most video into full-screen view and the second video appears as a thumbnail.
- To swap views, select the '...' icons on the video thumbnail, then choose 'Move to Main View' to bring the thumbnail into the main display area.
- Videos are swapped.
Resizing the Video Panels
- Select the middle slider icon between the two video panels.
- Drag to resize the video areas as needed and the layout will adjust in real time.
Fill to Frame
- From the '...' icons menu on either video, select 'Fill to Frame' to expand it to fill the available space.
- The video will show in the main display, and expands on both sides to fill up the entire width of the screen
